Collections happening December 1st-12th
Tavan Tinsel is our way of spreading holiday cheer and showing appreciation to EVERY single staff member at Tavan Elementary! From classroom teachers to support staff, specialists, office heroes, lunch staff, and custodians everyone plays a vital role in making our school such a special place for our Wildcats.
While it’s easy to think first of your child’s homeroom teacher, Tavan Tinsel helps us shine a light on the wonderful teams working behind the scenes. We are talking Art, Music, and P.E., our front office, interventionists, Special Education staff, and so many others who support our students every day.
Tavan Tinsel is all inclusive, low stress (as no other gift is needed), and it is ALWAYS greatly appreciated!
Together, we can make the holidays a little brighter for all of those who make a difference in our children's lives at Tavan!
The Game Plan
First, we deck the halls!
We’ll bring festive cheer to campus by decorating with tinsel throughout the school!

Then, we collect for the Giving Tree!
We are collecting $20–$50 gift cards to place on our Giving Tree in the Teachers’ Lounge.
Please label the value of the card before placing in the collection box.
Prefer to make a monetary contribution instead? All monetary donations will go toward purchasing enough gift cards so that each of our 96 staff members receives one during the Tinsel Staff Luncheon, presented in fun, festive packaging.

Donate a Gift Card: Label the value of the card
A Tinsel donation box will be in the front office to collect all Cash, Check and Gift Card donations.
All Contributions are needed by December 12th.
Last, we prep Giving Tree!
The Tavan Tinsel Team will place each gift card inside a numbered envelope. During our Tinsel Staff Luncheon on December 16th, every staff member will select an envelope and receive a surprise gift card as a token of our gratitude along with a lunch provided by funds raised by sponsorships and memberships!
