Hi Tavan families! I’m Chelsea Hassler, and I’m so excited to be your PTO President for the 2026–2027 school year!

I’ve been the treasurer for the PTO since 2022, and I’m thrilled to jump into this new role. Next year, I’ll have a 5th grader and a 3rd grader at Tavan, so this community is a big part of our family’s everyday life.

Being on the PTO the past four years has been such a fun and rewarding experience, and I can’t wait to build on that momentum. I love getting to be involved, meet so many amazing families, and work alongside our incredible teachers and staff to support our school.

Tavan is such a special place, and I’m truly grateful for the opportunity to give back and help make it even better. I’m looking forward to a great year full of connection, community, and a whole lot of fun along the way!

Hi Tavan families! I’m Priscila Brown, and I’m so excited to be your PTO Vice President for the 2026–27 school year! I’ll have a 2nd grader and a kindergartener at Tavan next year, and I feel so lucky to be part of this amazing community. I love getting involved and connecting with other families, and I’m really looking forward to helping make this year fun, welcoming, and memorable for everyone.

Hello! My name is Shawna Harkensee, and I’m excited to serve as Tavan’s PTO Secretary for the 2026–2027 school year. My twin daughters will be in 2nd grade, and my 3-year-old will be attending the new preschool at Tavan. From day one, I’ve been so impressed by all that the PTO does to support the school and bring the community together. I’m passionate about supporting our teachers and helping create a positive, engaging environment for all Tavan families.  I'm looking forward to a successful school year!

Hello Tavan Wildcat families. My name is Lisa Calkins and I am excited to be your 2026-2027 PTO co-treasurer. Next year, my oldest will be in 3rd grade and my youngest will be starting Kindergarten at Tavan. For the past 3 years I have had the pleasure of watching a great PTO make Tavan a better place and truly believe the support they have provided the staff and kids is outstanding. I have over 20 years of experience in budgeting and financial reporting and will bring accountability and organization to the treasury role. I am excited for the opportunity to join the PTO board and help support the mission of this amazing group.

Hello Tavan families! My name is Lindsey Smidlein, and I’m excited to serve as one of two PTO Treasurers for the 2026–2027 school year. While this will be my first year in this role with the Tavan PTO, I bring three years of experience as Treasurer for the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church Foundation, where I’ve built a strong foundation in budgeting, financial oversight, and transparent reporting.

Next year, I’ll have a second grader and a kindergartner at Tavan, which makes this role especially meaningful to me. As both a parent and a volunteer, I care deeply about supporting our school community and helping create the best possible experience for our students and teachers.

I’m truly excited to get involved in a new way, stay organized behind the scenes, and make sure every dollar raised is used thoughtfully and responsibly. It’s an honor to serve alongside such dedicated parents and staff, and I’m looking forward to a great year ahead. Thank you for your support!

My name is Chad Bodine, and I am excited to serve as the Dad's Club President for the 2026-27 school year. I will have a 3rd grader, Henry, and 1st grader, Charlie at Tavan.  I volunteer at Tavan every chance I get and I’m committed to helping dads find ways to be more involved!  I can't wait to grow the involvement and continue to make Tavan the amazing school that it is.

Hi, I’m Amory Borromeo, and I’m excited to serve as Director of Volunteers for the 2026–2027 school year. My husband and I have four boys, and our family is proud to be part of the Tavan community.

Professionally, I’ve spent my career leading teams in product, technology, and operations. I’ve seen firsthand how strong systems and engaged people can make a big impact—and I’m looking forward to bringing that mindset to supporting our volunteers at Tavan.

My goal is to make it easy and rewarding for families to get involved—whether you have five minutes or want to take on something bigger. Tavan is a special place because of its community, and I’m excited to help more families plug in, contribute, and feel connected.

My name is Wendy Fischer, and I am happy to serve as the PTO Co-Director of Volunteers for the 2026-27 school year. I will have a 7th grader at Ingleside and 4th grader at Tavan. I've been involved with Tavan's PTO since 2020 and have fulfilled many roles through the years. It’s been a wonderful experience that I will always cherish. I look forward to serving the staff, students, and the overall Tavan community. My goals for next year are to create opportunities to strengthen relationships for our amazing Tavan families and build our Tavan community, increase family involvement, and to find new members to serve on the PTO board moving forward! My name is Casey Hensley, and I am the Director of Fundraising for the 2026–2027 school year. I am so excited to be a part of such a wonderful school community! I am a Scottsdale school district grad myself, following in the footsteps of my mom who was also on the PTO board throughout my elementary years. This year I have a son Asher in Kinder and my daughter Carter who is in 4^th grade. The Tavan community is really special and filled with a lot of parents and teachers who truly care! Fundraising for the school is an exciting opportunity as I want the best for the students and teachers. My background and current career of 15 plus years is in event planning - so creating fun opportunities for the school while raising money feels like a natural fit. I am looking forward to a fun and successful year ahead and welcome any and all ideas for making Tavan a fantastic community for all.

My name is Sarah Grogger, and I am the Director of Communications for the 2026–2027 school year. Next year, I’ll have a 4th grader, a 1st grader, and a PreK student at Tavan. I’ve been volunteering since my oldest was in kindergarten and have truly loved the sense of community it’s created. I’m excited for the opportunity to help keep our Tavan community informed, connected, and engaged, and to continue building on what makes our school so special!
