The Literati Book Fair and Tavan Book Swap

Date: November 17th through the 20th

 

 

Welcome to the Tavan Book Fair & Book Swap, where we encourage a love of reading while giving students the opportunity to refresh their bookshelves! This exciting event allows students to swap books, shop for new ones, and support our school’s literacy initiatives.

The Book Fair is a fantastic chance to discover exciting new reads and support our school as a portion of all sales goes directly back to Tavan Elementary.

 

Families are invited to swing by the Tavan Library to shop alongside your student before or after school 11/17-11/20 (8:00 –3:30 PM),

Join your student during their class visit or browse online anytime!

We need parent volunteers to help organize the donated books, assisting students during the book fair/swap and managing checkout. BONUS: As a volunteer, you will receive 20% off your purchase at the book fair.

About the Book Swap

Students can bring in gently used books from home and earn Book Bucks for each book donated. These Book Bucks can be used to "purchase" other gently used books during the swap. It's a great way to exchange books they’ve already enjoyed for new adventures!

 

Guidelines for Book Donations:
✔ Books should be in good condition (no missing pages, excessive wear, or writing).
✔ We accept children’s books suitable for elementary school readers Pre-K through 5th Grade.
✔ Please avoid coloring books, activity books, or textbooks.
✔ The more books your child brings, the more "Book Bucks" they’ll earn! (Max of 3 Book Bucks)
