The Tavan Two
At Tavan, we keep things simple with two golden rules that help everyone feel safe, respected, and ready to learn. They’re called the Tavan Two:
1. Be Kind
Treat others the way you want to be treated. Use kind words, lend a helping hand, and show respect to everyone meaning classmates, teachers, staff and yourself.
2. Follow Directions
Listen carefully, stay on task, and do your best to follow instructions from teachers and staff the first time they’re given.
When we all follow the Tavan Two, our school becomes a place where learning, friendship, and fun can thrive every day!
TAVAN TRADITIONS & GOOD-TO-KNOWS
Dining For Dollars - Throughout the year
A monthly fundraising event with a local restaurant where a percentage of the sales go directly back to Tavan. Flyers will be sent home to inform families of these sporadic fundraisers.
Literacy Day- Every Thursday!
Literacy day is also known as “Wear it & Read it” day and it occurs every Thursday! Students are encouraged to wear a school appropriate shirt that has words, phrases, or sentences on it!
Spirit Day - Every Friday
Spirit day is every Friday at Tavan! You can join your child in showing your Tavan spirit by wearing blue and/or green or any type of our Tavan Swag!
Tavan Tuesday - Last Tuesday of Every Month
Join us on the last Tuesday of each month for a special morning gathering that brings together students, families, teachers, and staff to celebrate our Wildcat community all before the bell rings! They are our favorite way to start the day!
