5th Grade Outdoor Ed

Each spring, our 5th graders head off on an unforgettable Outdoor Education adventure. A milestone experience designed to celebrate the end of their elementary years and inspire confidence, teamwork, and a love for the outdoors.

 

This special overnight trip is exclusively for 5th grade students and takes place near the end of the school year. Outdoor Ed gives students the opportunity to learn beyond the classroom through hands-on activities, nature exploration, team building challenges, and memorable camp-style fun.


What Students Experience

  • Nature hikes and outdoor science lessons

  • Team-building games and leadership activities

  • Campfire traditions and community building

  • Unplugged time in nature, bonding with classmates and making lifelong memories

Purpose of the Trip

Outdoor Ed supports learning and personal growth by helping students:

  • Practice independence and responsibility

  • Build confidence and try new challenges

  • Strengthen friendships and teamwork skills

  • Celebrate the completion of elementary school in a meaningful way

Final trip dates, cost information, packing lists, and required forms will be shared with 5th grade families as we get closer to the end of the school year.

Chaperones & Volunteers

Information about chaperone needs and volunteer requirements will be communicated by teachers. All chaperones must meet district volunteer clearance guidelines.
