PTO Board Nominations 2022 -2023

 

President

Perla Rivera- Served a 1 year term and would love to serve another.

 

Vice President

Cheri Pierce: Having served a year in this position from 2021-2022, I feel my job is not yet complete. I would like one more year to serve and grow the community of families at Tavan.

 

Secretary

Carrie Diekmann: I love the Tavan community! I want to help grow on all the incredible work our PTO has already done for the students, parents, teachers, and administrators. The more involvement we all have the more our school will thrive.

 

Treasurer

Chelsea Hassler: I love being a part of the Tavan community! My background is in business operations and I manage all the finances for a small business in the area. The more involved the parents are the better off our kids and our schools will be! The Tavan PTO has done such great work and I would love to be a part of the continued success.

 

Director of Communications

Pamela Smith: Why I should be nominated for an elected position is first I have been a part of SUSD 10 years now. I have held office as a VP of advocacy for SUSD Parent Council! I am a volunteer within the community. I understand the communication between parents and volunteers. I will be graduating with my Masters in Communication from GCU, I am a Millennial with extensive knowledge of current posting and social media boards. I am a Veteran of the United States Military. Over 20 years of Management which will allow me to manage the duties and responsibilities the Board sets forth. I am an all-around candidate.

Chelsea Friday: I have web design experience as well as newsletter and flyer development skills.

 

Director of Fundraising

Amanda Engle: am nominating myself for the Director of Volunteer position as I’d love to spend my efforts working with Room Parents and recruiting parents and volunteers for Tavan PTO’s 2022-2023 events.

Wendy Fischer: I am nominating myself for the Director of Volunteer position as I’d love to spend my efforts working with Room Parents and recruiting parents and volunteers for Tavan PTO’s 2022-2023 events.

Dad’s Club President

Tom Newbold: I’ve volunteered for every school event + my student’s grade-specific event this year and would like to get involved on the next level. I hope to work with previous Dad’s Club Presidents to try and increase dad involvement/engagement and events. I’ve attended PTO meetings as a spectator and would like to get more involved as a member.
